After postponing last year's Medal Day due to the COVID-19 pandemic, MacDowell and New Hampshire PBS have partnered to bring Medal Day 2021 to the comfort of your home.

Composer, writer, and recording star Rosanne Cash is honored in a televised Edward MacDowell Medal Day celebration on August 8, 2021. During the award presentation, writer and critic Kurt Andersen introduces Cash, the 61st Edward MacDowell Medalist. The special also includes musical performances from Rosanne Cash, Emmylou Harris, and John Leventhal; a conversation between Cash and New Yorker cartoonist Roz Chast; and a walk through the grounds to visit with artists-in-residence.
